Power of Prayer

I have had the opportunity to work with Lexi for the past 6 months and she is an amazing girl. There are not many people I have met that are happier. She is a tough one!

I wanted to share an experience I had a few years ago that was very difficult and personal. But it is a story that strengthened my faith and hope.

The day before I started my senior year of high school my family and I went rock climbing to enjoy the last little bit of freedom of Summer. One of the rock walls was huge! And my little brother and I hiked around and found a way to the top, and Devin got some gear and was going back up to the top to set in a top rope so we could do the climb safely. I went down the trail to find my little sister and as we were coming back we saw something falling. Our hearts stopped for a second as we realized it was just his backpack. Then we saw my little brother come over the edge and fell straight down. The official reports said it was 100 feet.

The ambulance should have been 45 minutes away, but they had training that day just minutes from where the accident occurred. They were able to get him out to a place where the helicopter could pick him up.

He broke many different bones in his body was in the hospital for a full month and underwent 16 surgeries.

The doctors didn't believe he would live, then they thought he would be paralyzed, then they said he would never walk or run again. He is currently serving a mission in Ogden.

I have been praying for Lexi everyday, and I know there were many people who prayed for my brother and I know those prayers were answered.

My heart goes out to Lexi and her family, I understand a little bit of what you are going through and I know God is blessing you every step of the way.
